Alpaca Industry Speaker Available — No Speaker Fee!
In order to encourage industry education and communication, ARI will provide Executive Director, Darby Vannier, to speak at your show, meeting, or farm event for no speaker fee. The only cost to you or your organization is expense reimbursement.
Darby has his Master’s Degree in Business and has been with ARI for more than 7 years. He is a dynamic speaker who has presented at many shows and events throughout the United States and was recently a featured speaker at the World Alpaca Conference in London.

Expected Progeny Differences (EPD): From A to Z.
This seminar, typically running 45–75 minutes, defines EPDs and how they have been utilized in other industries. It addresses how the alpaca industry has begun to embrace this new scientific method in assisting with breeding and buying decisions. Lastly, you will learn how you can easily begin to participate in the ariEPD program and the tools that ARI has made available to you that make the process easier.
ARI Parentage Validation: How does it Work?
This seminar, typically running 30–40 minutes, explains the ARI DNA testing and parentage validation process. This seminar is specifically designed for the average alpaca owner. It is presented in a way that enables even the novice to fully understand how ARI DNA tests and matches sires and dams. It also explains some of the common reasons for retesting and the mistakes that are often made by alpaca owners that can leader to issues in matching the parentage later.
ARI: What Resources are Available?
This seminar, typically running 45–90 minutes can be made to cover any topics about the Registry that you wish your audience to learn about. We often cover ARI office operations and a detailed presentation of all the tools and resources that ARI provides to its members within the ARI online site. A discussion of the various functions of AlpacaRegistry.com, ariACADEMY.com, and ariLIST.com addresses many of the areas of confusion that your audience may have about what ARI makes available to them.
